Arctic Prisms is an important book in the nascent field of study that considers the significant role that art and artists play in the decolonization of the Indigenous territories of the circumpolar world. Focusing on the regions of Inuit Nunaat and Sápmi this publication brings together an introduction by editors Heather Igloliorte, Amy Prouty and Charissa von Harringa as well as five in-depth essays, two visual essays and a conversation between Igloliorte and artists Siku Alloolooo and Kunaq (Marjorie Tahbone). Published in the languages of the various contributing communities, namely Inuktitut, Iñupiat, Kalaallisut (Groenland), North Sámi, as well as English, and French, it aims to generate new connections and knowledges across geographic and linguistic divides.
