In advance of the opening of Putting Rehearsals to the Test, artist Achim Lengerer animated a ten-day workshop from July 25 through August 5 at the Gallery as part of his ongoing Scriptings series.

A travelling showroom and publishing house, Scriptings provides a forum for artists, writers, graphic designers, performers and students to investigate the operations and collective stakes of text and language by way of a shifting array of research topics and contexts.

Interested in the possibilities of open modes of production and the social life of the book, Lengerer and the workshop participants worked together to edit and publish an “exhibition script”.
